This week feels like a tease of spring. The light is stretching longer into the evening, the snow sticks around a little less each time it falls, and families are starting to come out of winter hibernation.
Around here, that means muddy boots, windy stroller walks, and a little more energy buzzing in the air.
Whether you’re parenting toddlers, navigating pregnancy, building your family, or raising teens, we’re really glad you’re here. The Wiggle Room community is built on the idea that families deserve support in every season.
Here’s what’s happening this week around Lethbridge and a few little things we’re loving.

Local Things to Do This Week
If you’re looking for something gentle and family-friendly, here are a few things happening around town:
The Family Centre has a free play program (no registration needed) for dads & their little ones. It’s on Saturdays at 10am at the Family Centre Downtown. Their spring program registration is open for other offerings, as well!
The YMCA of Lethbridge has opened their spring and summer registration for child, youth, and adult programming. Swim lessons, sports, fitness, and more!
Helen Schuler Nature Centre has programs & events for kids and youth aged 2-15, as well as activities for all ages
their spring schedule for pre-registered activities just dropped
April 1st they will have a brand new exhibit inside the Nature Centre. Drop by and take a look at the winter edition of their Wild Neighbors exhibit before they switch to the spring exhibit.
Through March 24th their Winter Animal Tracking Adventure is still on. Grab a booklet and a pencil from the kiosk out front.
Spring Play Pop Ups have begun! The next one is Saturday March 21st from 1:30-3:30pm at Helen Schuler Nature Centre (this is FREE to attend)
Building Brains Together hosts a brain-building game event on Tuesdays at Nord Bridge Seniors Centre. Registration is FREE for anyone 55+
They also are hosting a FREE family event at the University of Lethbridge on March 28th.
Wiggle-at-Home Activity (5 minutes)
If your kids are bouncing off the walls but it’s still too cold (or muddy) to fully commit to outside time:
Pillow Path Challenge
1️⃣ Lay out pillows, blankets, and cushions across the floor
2️⃣ Create a “path” they have to follow
3️⃣ The rule: no touching the floor (lava rules apply 🔥)
Make it harder:
Hop on one foot
Carry a stuffed animal “passenger”
Time them and try to beat their score
Little Thing We’re Loving
Spring walks are getting a tiny upgrade: puddle hunting.
Let your kid lead the walk and find the biggest puddles they can. It turns a 10-minute walk into a full adventure (and somehow burns way more energy).
Bonus: bring a change of socks and slippers for the ride home. Trust us on this one.
Small Business Spotlight 🌸
This week we’re celebrating The Rose & Thistle Flower Shop, which just turned one year old! 🥳
We love supporting local, and their fresh blooms have brightened up so many homes (and our social feeds!). If you haven’t seen it yet, we shared a little video of their work on our socials.

Build Update
Behind the scenes, things are still moving forward:
✔ Continuing renovation planning
✔ Connecting with local instructors and service providers
✔ Designing how each space will actually feel for families
We’re putting a lot of thought into flow: how parents can sit, how kids move safely between spaces, and how to make it feel welcoming whether you stay 20 minutes or 2 hours.
